Designed and Made in India, our limited edition organic cotton baby products are uniquely designed for genderneutral gifting. Inspired by an original readaloud poem, 'Little Koi wants to fly', this gift set contains:

1 x pyjama: 100% organic cotton dyed with colours from nature. The herb used is madder, known to be beneficial for the skin and helpful in common cold and respiratory ailments.

The waist of the pyjama is elasticated and bottom is made of hem. Conscious of minimising waste, it comes packed in a reusable muslin bag with an interactive game tag.

The manjha or kite strings print is handblock printed by traditional artisans in Bangalore using GOTS certified colours extracted from nature. The pyjama is natural dyed using primarily madder herb in Gujarat. Both are ethically stitched in Bangalore in a small independent production unit with less than 10 employees. Variation in colour and printing are attributes of the hand processes used in different stages of making.

Whitewaterkids

Whitewater Kids works with Organic cotton to make clothes for babies because it is grown without the use of genetically modified seeds, without the use of toxic fertilizers and pesticides. And since it is not readily available in large quantities, we thought of using it judiciously for an ideal purpose for making baby products. As you know, a baby's skin is more absorbent than an adult's.

Also, the colour used by them is either herbal or natural dyes for our earthy palette. Herbal dyes are derived from herbs found in nature such as manjistha or madder, haldi or turmeric and indigo to name a few. The cloth is dyed such that the medicinal properties of each of these plants is retained in the cloth. They include fruit and vegetable wastes like the rind of pomegranate and onion skins. Our natural dye collection showcases the skills of traditional Ajrakh artisans in India. Ajrakh is a resist block printing technique, traditionally known for its geometric patterns and labour intensive doublesided printing.

On the other hand, azo is a chemical compound that is carcinogenic and banned by many countries in the world. For our bright hues, we use azofree dyes.

These products are designed by the founder and made in various parts of rural and urban India by passionate manufacturers who share our ideals. They work with sustainable and artisanal textile crafts of India. All the cuddles and teethers are embroidered and stuffed by hand by traditional women artisans in tribal Tamil Nadu or in Ahmedabad.

Their production partners either follow fair trade principles laid down by the World Fair Trade Organisation or individually decide their own wages based on the time and the level of expertise required.
