The makers of this product work with 300 rural women from Haryana who are given skill development training and continuous market opportunities. These women earn a livelihood to support themselves and their children by making products out of waste newspaper and stationery collected from offices. The waste is turned into useful products that are eco-friendly, unique, innovative, long-lasting and durable. The paper products are intricately made by hand and make use of natural colours and lacquer to make them sturdy and long-lasting. They make a wide range of products from home decor, table decor, stationery, jewellery, festival products, corporate gifting products, paper mache products and many more. The women artisans join together to form the 'Paper Wing Association' where they are socially, economically and individually empowered.
Through this purchase, you are supporting and promoting the recycling movement and helping to reduce the number of reusable papers sent to landfills each year. You are also doing your bit in providing a source of income to rural women.
