Organic Cotton Men's White T-Shirt
Our consumption habits are hitting us hard. We're faced with a burgeoning problem of waste, the quality of air we're breathing borders on fatal, and even the creatures living in the depths of the Mariana Trench are not spared from plastic pollution. This is an issue that can be solved. By us. All we need to do is take action and make some changes to our consumption habits. This measn we have to rethink the products we buy, redesign the materials they are made from and redirect where they end up when they're worn out.
There's a revolution today in organic food. But, why stop with what we put into our bodies? Let's begin thinking about what we put on them. The skin is the largest organ, and it is regularly exposed to chemical toxins in fabric and dyes.
This basic essentials men's tshirt is soft, breezy and perfect for a laidback lunch or a day on the field. Team with khakis or jeans and you're all set for a day out.
This Tshirt also represents everything that good, ethical fashion is about. Here's why:
Made of 100% organic cotton, no synthetics here
Cotton covers 2.5% of the world's cultivated land, yet it accounts for 25% of the world's insecticide market and 10% of global pesticide sales, making it the most pesticideintensive crop grown on the planet.
Organic cotton is better because it:
- Never uses genetically modified seeds.
- Conserves soil though crop rotation.
- Retains water more efficiently thanks to increased organic matter in the soil.
- Controls weeds through physical removal rather than chemical destruction.
- Controls insects by maintaining a balance between pests and their natural predators through healthy soils.
Environmentfriendly
- All fabric is dyed and handprinted using Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) approved dyes and inks which are free of hazardous elements such as nickel, lead, formaldehyde, amines, pesticides and heavy metals.
- No overproduction: The products are all exclusive and available in limited, well curated collections.
- Strong focus on handcrafted designs and inhouse manufacturing.
- Use of reusable, recyclable packaging.
We are 100% fairtrade and absolutely do not indulge in sweatshops. Knowing how rooted exploitation is within the clothing industry, we had to be the change we wanted to see. Prateek Kayan, Founder Brown Boy
Crueltyfree
- PETA approved Vegan. No animal products used in the supply chain.
Fairtrade Certified
The World Health Organisation estimates that 20,000 people a year die in developing countries from pesticide poisoning, and a further 3 million people suffer chronic health problems.
