They are actually the fruits of the soap nut tree and contain Saponin', which is a 100% natural alternative to chemical laundry detergent and cleansers. Directions for use:
Put 10 nuts in the muslin pouch and soak this in 250 ml hot water for half hour. After half hour, put the water and muslin pouch with nuts into the drum of your washing machine. Make sure you tie the pouch very well so that nuts do not come out and clog the pipes of your washing machine.
Once complete, remove the pouch with the rinsed clothes.
Refill nuts in the pouch for next cycle after removing nuts only which have totally disintegrated.
